On the occasion of World Disability (3rd Dec, 07) Sai Krishna Teja Foundation conducted an awareness rally in Hyderabad where total 150 people participated to create awareness in society about Disability. Aim of the rally was to educate people about causes and prevention of Disability and to sensitize and create awareness among common men/women regarding Rights & Benefits provided to Persons With Disabilities by Government of India. Pamphlets and handouts on above mentioned topic were distributed.
Girls of St.Ans Degree College, Mehdipatnam and IT Professionals of Birla Soft, Hyderabad participated in the rally to make the event successful. Message through Sai Krishna Teja Foundation printed material, placards & Banners could reach more than 3000 people. Rally was escorted by Hyderabad police.
Professionals of Birla Soft and Girls from St.Ans Girls College extended their full co-operation and assured to help Sai Krishna Teja Foundation in its focused efforts for the cause of Disability in future too.

Volunteers from JSS Polytechnic for Physically Handicapped helped to organise the program smoothly. Total 38 Physically and Mentally Challenged persons availed the services of specialized Dentists.

Free psychological counselling session for Persons With Disabilities
Sai Krishna Teja Foundation (keeping the hope alive) organised Free psychological counselling session for Persons With Disabilities in Sai Krishna Teja Foundation premises on 07-11-07. Candidates with different types of disabilities could be reached and helped through this program. Rehabilitation Psychologist Dr.Madhu Singh attended counselling session for different psychological problems of Persons With Disabilities. Following are the few reaction of the Persons With Disabilities who could be guided and helped to live the life happily.
1. “Life is waste for me without my vision, I want to die.”
K. Raja, 28years, Blind only son of his parents. Last his vision 2 years back and is totally dependent of his parents who are working as watchmen in a residential apartment in Sri Nagar colony.
After the session, he could see a ray of hope in his life and went back happily.

Free medical camp on the birthday of Krishna Teja
FREE MEDICAL CAMP
ü Conducted free medical camp exclusively for disabled person on 21st June , 2007at MM Hospital, Mehdipatnam, Hyderabad where free medicine to more than 175 disable person according to Doctors’ prescription were distributed. General as well as specialized health checkup like EEG for FITS cases, HB and bone density test etc for anemic and malnourished children were done. Specialized doctors like Dr Zaffer Shah Nawaz, Senior Epileptologist(Global Hospital); Dr Mrs. Srilata, Ent specialist(Yashoda Hospital); Dr Mrs. Fatima, Gynecologist(M M Hospital); Dr Wahid Ali, Orthopedician(M M Hospital); Dr Niyaz Ahmad, Paediatrician(M M Hospital); Dr M Baig, General Physician(M M Hospital); Ms Nasreen, Nutritionist(M M Hospital); Dr Majid, Dentist (M M Hospital); etc contributed their kind services towards this cause. More than 175 person with special need were benefited in this medical camp . Free snacks, water, and caps were distributed to all the patients visited.

DISTRIBUTING CALIPERS,STICKS& CHEQUE
ü Sai Krishna Teja Foundation supported Persons with Disability on 28th July, 07 under various programs conducted that day. Two children named Pawan, 14 years, a multiple disable child and Farhana yasmin, 14 years, an orthopaedic handicapped are given calipers. Baby Naznin, 4 years, a CP child and N. Bharathi, 12 years, a CP child are given adaptive shoes. Rajashekher, 13 years, a CP child is given a walking stick. All above supports are provided under AAROGYA scheme of SKTF. Under AAHAR scheme, Sai Vikas Special School and Vocational Training Center for MR children with hostel is supported for the food needs of ten children living in the hostel. The family of Krishna Chaitanya, 17years,a multiple disable boy with associate problem of fits is adopted by SKTF.

Growth and development of children follow a pattern and every child passes through certain steps at particular time in his /her life. These stages are called milestones of development.

Promotional Economic Empowerment among Persons With Disabilities (PWDs)
Sai Krishna Teja Foundation organised a workshop to promote economic rehabilitation among literate/vocationally trained Person With Disability on 11th August, 07 at vocational Rehabilitation Centre, Vidya Nagar,
NGOs working in the field of disabled welfare, representatives of special schools and vocational training centre, Parents/ guardians and siblings of such person, qualified professional from National Institute of Mentally Handicappers and potential employers actively participated in the workshop.
Objectives of the workshop was to bring awareness in employers about their social responsibilities towards Person sWith Disabilities and providing a wider platform to parents of PWDs, Employers and vocational training centres to interact directly on various topic related to economic empowerment of disable person.
Dr. Amrutaiya, MD, Andhra Pradesh Vikalangula Cooperative Corporation was the Chief Guest, appreciated this effort to bring all the stakeholders on one platform for better understanding towards this cause.
